Date/time: Tuesday 15th October - arrive from 6.45pm
Venue: Robert Turner Lecture Theatre, OCDEM, Churchill Hospital
Next Tuesday evening in OCDEM we are launching the Monster Manor game App! This is a new IOS/Android game for children aged 6-13 with diabetes, aimed at encouraging blood sugar testing through playing the Monster Manor game. This is the first example of "gamification" in diabetes care in the UK.
Evaluating innovative technologies for supporting better diabetes management is one of the themes of the new AHSN Diabetes Clinical Network. The evening will involve guest speakers from Diabetes UK, the Oxford AHSN and children and parents who are testing the game.
Children are welcome and they can try out the new game.
The whole thing will be chaired by Stephen Dixon of Sky News Fame!
Refreshments will be available.
This is the first event our new Diabetes Network is organising so it would be great if you could come along to show support!
